Recipient Name@Fax Number@ExtraFax
where Recipient Name is the name of the recipient and Fax Number is the actual number dial to reach the destination fax device.
2. User could address the message to both email users and fax recipients simultaneously.
3. In the fax body, user could type in a simple message or attach existing document(s) to the fax.
4. The fax will be routed through the Notes network to the Notes/Domino server where the fax server resides. It will ultimately be deposited to the ExtraFax.NSF database.
5. From that point on, the fax server will take over and continue with the necessary fax processing.
6. Attachments in an outgoing fax will be handled in one of the following ways:
Print-to-Fax
To retain the highest fidelity of fax images, it is recommended that you print the document to a virtual fax printer i.e. print-to-fax, and then mail the fax images to the fax server for transmission.
1. A Notes user print the document by choosing File -> Print. In the Printer field, select the Fax Printer. The Print-to-Fax driver renders the document contents at the user's desktop, and then invokes XTRAMAIL.EXE to send the document via mail to the ExtraFax for actual fax processing.
2. The XTRAMAIL.EXE program will prompt user for the necessary address information e.g. Send To, cc:, Subject and the like. The addressing scheme is the same as above.
4. Instead of sending one document for transmission at a time, user could print-to-fax multiple documents and 'save' the resulting TIFF images in a temporary directory. User could then group all these TIFF images into a single fax by 'attaching' these images into one document and mail the 'package' out for transmission.
5. The Notes Mail Router deposits the message to the ExtraFax.NSF where the fax server uses.
6. From that point on, the fax server will take over and continue with the necessary fax processing.
