To create a Safe ID of your Lotus Notes server/user, please perform the following:

1. Choose File -> Tools -> Switch ID to switch to the ID which will be use for license generation.

(If your ExtraFax is running as a Domino server add-in, the server id is used for license generation.
If your ExtraFax is running on workstation mode, the workstation's Notes id where ExtraFax is running is used for license generation.)

3. Type in the password (if applicable).

4. Click More Options on the User ID Dialog box.

5. Click Create Safe Copy on the Options Dialog box.

6. Type in the file name where the Safe Copy of your Notes ID will be created.

Domino/Notes R6 and 6.5

1. Switch to the Server ID if ExtraFax is installed on the Domino Server. Switch to the Fax User ID if ExtraFax is installed on a Notes workstation.
Choose File -> Security -> Switch ID, located ID file and enter password for ID file if any exists.

2. Choose File -> Security -> User Security.

3. Click Security Basics, then click the "Renew" button

4. Click the "Export ID" button in the "Confirm Renewal" dialog box.

5. Change the directory to the floppy disk drive or to a directory that you can access from your other mail program in the "Enter Safe Copy ID File Name" dialog box.

6. Enter a file name for the safe copy of your User ID in the File Name field (Macintosh users: Save As field). The default is SAFE.ID.

7. Click Save, and then close the "Confirm Renewal" dialog box.
