Blocking Out a List of Fax Numbers

You could define a list of fax numbers to be blocked by ExtraFax automatically. This is especially useful for bulk faxing, saving the sender the tedious and time-consuming efforts of picking up any exception from the mailing list. Sender will receive a Delivery Failure Report if the fax number is blocked and failed to deliver.

Fax numbers could be blocked either: To implement this feature, you need to perform the following:
  1. Open the ExtraFax Post Office Database.
  2. Switch to Server Administration -> Access Number view.
  3. Click New Document.
  4. Below describes the parameters defined on the form:
User/Server Name:Server-Wide Block Out
Enter the full hierarchical name of Notes Server ID being used at the fax server e.g. FaxServer1/Extracomm.

Individually Block Out
Enter the name of the person who wants to have the numbers blocked. Please note that this user name must match the name in the From field of the fax message received by ExtraFax.

Blocked Out Fax Numbers:The list of fax numbers to be blocked.

Below are examples of fax number formats supported:
    • Local call e.g. 688-6718
    • Long distance call e.g. 604-688-6718
    • International call e.g. (1)604-688-6718

5. Close and save the document.
