- How does FAX852 receives faxes?
FAX852 provides a Fax-to-Email service. Each customer subscribed to a monthly plan that includes the capability to receive faxes activated will have a personal fax number assigned which can be used for receiving a fax. When there is a fax sent to their fax number, FAX852 will automatically convert the received fax into an email and send it to the user. You can register up to 3 email addresses to receive faxes for each assigned fax number. Additionally, you will also receive a notification through the FAX852 App when there is an incoming fax.
- Will FAX852 provide a personal fax number for receiving faxes for customers on a monthly plan?
Each customer subscribed to a monthly plan that includes the capability to receive faxes activated will have a personal fax number assigned which can be used for receiving faxes.
- Can I port my existing fax number over to FAX852 for the purpose of receiving faxes?
No. However you may consider to enable call forwarding service on your existing fax number and divert all incoming fax calls to fax number assigned in FAX852.
- How can I sign-up for FAX852 monthly plan?

- What is the application procedure to sign-up for a FAX852 monthly plan?
By completing the online application form and providing payment via PayPal, credit card or other payment methods, you will then receive an email confirmation for signing up. The monthly plan service will be activated within one to two business days after the payment has been made. You will receive another email notification when your FAX852 service has been activated.
- Which payment methods can I use when activating a FAX852 monthly plan?

- How to change the monthly plan user?
In Fax852 App >> Tap the "Settings" icon in the upper left corner >> Tap "My Monthly Plan Account" >> FAX852 "Account Management Portal" will be opened.

- How to change the email addresses used for receiving faxes in the monthly plan?
In Fax852 App >> Tap the "Settings" icon in the upper left corner >> Tap "My Monthly Plan Account" >> FAX852 "Account Management Portal" will be opened.
Select "Account Details" from the management portal menu to display the details of your FAX852 account. Under the "Fax Routing" section, the current email addresses used for receiving faxes will be displayed. You can click "Edit" to modify the email addresses.
- How to backup your FAX852 fax records?
For iOS (13 or above) users, you can turn on “Use iCloud” option. Your fax data will be synchronised to iCloud. When you install FAX852 on a new device, fax data will be downloaded from iCloud automatically.

- Will any unused monthly plan fax pages carry over to the next month?
No. Fax pages expire after the cut-off date.
- Is there a 1 page free fax credit every month?
Yes.
- When will the monthly free credit be activated?
The free credit will be activated on the 1st of each month.
- If the free fax credit remains unused, will it carry over to the next month?
No. Free fax credits expire at the end of each month.
- What is the procedure to buy fax pages?
In FAX852 App >> Tap
in the bottom left corner >> Purchase fax pages via Google Play / Apple App Store / Microsoft App Store.

- Is it the Free Credit or Paid Credit that will be deducted first when faxing?
When you send a fax, the system deducts the required credits from your free credits first, and then from your paid credits balance.
- Will Paid Fax Credit ever expire?
Paid fax credit pages never expire. (Not applicable for monthly plan credit.)
- Can I share the fax credits with other devices?
For monthly plan customers:
You can add or delete users to share the plan credits. Please read FAQ#10.
For pay-as-you-go customers:
You can share fax credits with other devices by signing in with Apple/Google.
Go to FAX852 setting page and select Sign-in option. Devices will see the same fax credits amount if they sign in with the same account.
Alternatively, you can use the "Transfer Credits" function to transfer your paid credit to your other devices. Supported transfer methods are as follows:
Open the FAX852 App on the device that has purchased fax credits >> Tap the menu in the upper left corner >> Tap "Credit Transfer" >> Follow the on-screen instructions to transfer credits to other devices.
- Where can I find my FAX852 User ID?
In the FAX852 App >> Tap the menu in the upper left corner >> Setting >> FAX852 User ID
- Why do I need to enter an email address in FAX852 App Settings?
The email address is used to restore your FAX852 account balance. If you have changed your mobile phone and want to restore your FAX852 balance to the new mobile phone, we will use this email address to verify that you are the rightful owner of the FAX852 account.
- How can purchased fax credits be restored, if you have changed mobile phones?
You may use one of the methods below:
( Method 1. ) On your new device, sign in with the same Apple/Google account.
( Method 2. ) Open the FAX852 App on the device that has purchased fax credits >> Tap the menu in the upper left corner >> Tap "Credit Transfer" >> follow the on-screen instructions to transfer credits to your new mobile phone.
( Method 3. ) Use the "Backup and Restore" function.

- How can I transfer my monthly plan to my new mobile phone?

- Will fax credits still be deducted if a fax fails to send?
If fax sent results in transmission failure, the deducted paid credits will be credited back to your balance.
- Can the fax recipient see a sender's mobile number anywhere on the received fax?
No.
- Can the recipient see sender's name?
If you want to display your name on the fax header, enter your name in "FAX852 App >> Menu in the upper left corner >> Setting >> Your Name".
- Can I use FAX852 when I am traveling outside of Hong Kong?
As long as you can connect to the Internet, you can use FAX852 send faxes to Hong Kong no matter if you are in Hong Kong or travelling overseas.
- Are there any IDD charges involved if I use FAX852 outside of Hong Kong?
No.
- Are there any confidential/privacy statements for FAX852?
We respect the importance of privacy and confidentiality. All fax information will only be used for fax transmission purposes. We will not use it for promotional purposes or share the information with a third party. We DO NOT keep a copy of your sent faxes, all fax content will be deleted/destroyed upon successful completion of the fax transmission.
